“God gave you a gift of 86,400 seconds today. Have you used one to say ‘Thank you?'” -William A. Ward
And you know, maybe I haven’t. So here go some thank you’s to God that are much needed.
Thank you for giving me such a great home base. To have such a wonderful family is a blessing — a family that supports all your decisions, that helps you through all life’s problems, and who are just constantly there, no matter how badly you screw up.
Thank you for my fantastic friends from back home. We may be currently spread across the country, but my love for them has never been so strong. It’s so amazing to be able to have such amazing people to fall back on, even if they are a 12 hour drive from you.
Thank you especially for my two best friends back home. Both of them have brought nothing but joy to my life and I have no clue where I’d be today without them. Though I don’t get to see them everyday, I know they’d do anything for me at the drop of a hat. They are two of the most beautiful, amazing human beings and I’m so blessed to have both of them in my life. I know that, in them, I’ve found two friends who are going to last a lifetime because frankly, I can’t imagine life without them.
Thank you for giving me the opportunity to attend my dream school. Being at Belmont is going to help me so much in the future, wherever I may end up.
Thank you for the wonderful people I’ve met and become friends with here in my short time in college. Though I’ve known them less than a year, they’ve laughed with me and cried with me and accepted me for the flawed person I am. I couldn’t do college without them by my side.
Thank you for letting me join the best sorority I could have imagined. Though I never thought I would join one, I’ve been blessed with the most amazing group of women to spend my four years here with and I couldn’t be more grateful.
Thank you for the best friend I found in my Big. I would be completely lost without her constant love and support and wouldn’t be who I am today if we’d never met. She, along with my other friends, has become my family away from home and I could never have (almost!) survived my freshman year without her.
Thank you for the love I still feel from Assumption High School and specifically Rose Theatre Company. I couldn’t dream of being an alumni from a better school or theatre company and the love from both with stay with me forever.
Finally, thank you for the constant love and guidance you give me on a daily basis. I don’t say it enough, but thank you, so so much.
